1979
ANZ Lawz founded as a criminal litigation practice.
1989
Practice expands into constitutional law, criminal writ petitions and matters of public consequence.
2000
Second generation enters the firm; practice widens into civil law, economic offences, banking fraud and NDPS matters. The firm defends one of India's earliest cyber-crime cases.
2004
Second son of the founding family joins the practice full-time after a two-year rotation across its branches.
2006
The firm's work receives international recognition, quoted in Time, the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal.
2007
Landmark acquittal in a sessions-court gang-war trial involving eleven accused, three on death row.
2008–2009
The firm becomes a leading name in conflict-of-law matters, with cross-border work across the US, UK, Germany and Australia.
2009–2016
A seven-year integrity battle against sustained political and social pressure ends in vindication for the client.
2012–2013
Marathon Supreme Court arguments secure an acquittal in a murder trial by dismantling contested scientific evidence.
2016
The firm restructures from a partnership into an LLP and opens a new office.
2017
A founding partner is elevated to the higher judiciary and departs the practice.
2019
The firm advises a Singapore-based entity on a Rs. 1,000 crore film-industry and university project in India, alongside a series of other cross-border and institutional mandates.
2026
The founding family's mediation practice grows into MedAr, a dedicated mediation training and practice institute.
